Hello everyone...
I am always on the hunt for a decent kajal for everyday wear which is under 100 bucks and trust me there are plenty which claim to be herbal and good for the eyes. There are so many brands in the Indian market now a days when it comes to kajal which is an Indian name for kohl in India. It is used on the waterline to beautify the eyes. Every Indian girl is fond of kajal and it is a must have make product/essential for us. Since I have terrible dark circles I avoid kajal when I am at home. I have used many kajals in my lifetime and always hunting for something new. Today I shall be reviewing Patanjali Herbal Kajal which is a herbal line of products endorsed by yoga guru Baba Ramdev. Read on to know more...

Price: Rs.90/- for 3g of product.
The kajal comes in a lipstick format very convenient. The outer packaging is black and the lid is transparent with the brand name Patanjali printed on it. It is travel friendly and can be carried in the bag on the go.Also a lipstick format means no hassles of sharpening it. Yipee!!
The kajal is decently pigmented and goes on smooth on the waterline but you may need to swipe it a couple of times for the desired pigmentation. It is not too soft nor too hard hence application becomes simple. I generally use it in a slant format for easy application.
You get a cooling sensation on application due to the presence of natural ingredients like Castor Oil and Almond Oil which are really good for the eyes. Every Indian would know the importance of kajal in our childhood as our mothers would apply from a small container with her fingers- remember Jai kajal?? Over time kajal has taken form of a pencil, lipstick making things more easier for everyone.
In summers there is a high tendency for it to smudge. The smudging was not bad but the kajal disappeared from the eyes after a couple of hours hence you may need to re apply. This kajal is really good for the eyes leaving aside the cosmetic part of the story. With all natural ingredients I am liking it but I am not sure I would repurchase though.
The Good:
Inexpensive
Decent packaging
1005 natural
Cruelty free
Soothing for the eyes.
Decently pigmentedSoothing for the eyes.
Apt for daily wear
Ideal for sensitive eyes.
No wastage due to lipstick format packagingTravel friendly
The not so Good:
Availability is a big problem (although I think they have an online website)
Smudges a bit and disappears after a while
Pigmentation could have been better
Rating: 3.8/5
Patanjali Herbal Kajal in Black is a decent option for anyone looking for a herbal and 100% natural kajal. With so many natural ingredients it will not harm the eye in any way but only beautify and provide a cooling sensation. A must try if you are experimental because this is definitely not those 500 bucks kajal for sure :D and may not be smudge free completely and the darkest kajal you may have used.
